Important note on digital content: If you have expressly consented to the provision of digital content before the expiry of the withdrawal period and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (in accordance with Section 356(5) BGB), the right of withdrawal is excluded. Voluntary Refund Policy (Beyond Statutory Rights) In addition to your statutory rights, we offer the following voluntary refund terms: 3.1 One-Time Purchases We offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the product does not function as described, provided that: (a) You have a valid Proton Mail account and meet the stated system requirements. (b) The issue is not caused by incompatibility with your specific device configuration, operating system, or a third-party service outside our control. (c) You have contacted us at mail+legal@olausson.de describing the issue and allowed reasonable time (up to 7 days) for us to investigate and attempt a fix. If we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe, you are entitled to a full refund. 3.2 Subscriptions (a) You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining days of the current period. (b) If a product becomes permanently non-functional due to changes in third-party services (such as changes to Proton's APIs) and we are unable to restore functionality within 30 days, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the remaining prepaid subscription period. (c) If you experience a significant defect within the first 30 days of a new subscription or renewal, and we cannot resolve it within 7 days of your report, you may request a full refund for that billing period. 4. Exclusions Refunds are generally not granted in the following cases: (a) You have used the product extensively and request a refund after the 30-day period without reporting a defect. (b) The issue is caused by your failure to meet the stated system requirements. (c) The issue is caused by an unrelated third-party service or device malfunction. (d) You have violated the Terms and Conditions.
